Pastel portraits

One day Sanchita poured varnish onto a piece of paper and this formed the basis of these pastel works. The varnish gave the paper a waxy quality. She believed that the portrait she did of the old lady, based on a small image she saw in the Guardian newspaper, was one of her best pieces. Medium: Varnish and pastel / Size: A2 / Date: 1993 - 1999
